Conflict, People & Politics

Crab on my Platter

The tussle and fight between Ukraine and Russia will end one day, the leaders will come and shake hands. This will  definitely be written in future, we can easily predict! But the question is what about the people who are waiting for their loved ones to return from the battle field? There will be mother waiting for her kids, wives waiting for their husbands likewise, every concerned person who is directly or indirectly involved in the war zone will wait for their loved ones.

The death is irreversible happening and no one in this world can replace anyone. No one can replace the feelings and emotions one had developed for the other.  We cannot compensate a life which is lost, nor the scare created by war can be healed ever.

Irony for those who have left their hometowns and have become refugees. Whether they will take refuge or come back. The days will be never be the same as they had seen before the conflict. The Town and Colonies will be rebuilt, but things will never be the same. There will stories of lost pet animals along with the people who lost their lives. The loss will be irreversible!

I have my own conception of celebration of courage and bravery in war, unless one knows how scary it is to face the death without a reason. I always question myself whether we find reasons to fight with other or find reasons to get into a conflict and harm.

With the backdrop the Russo-Ukranian conflict, the world leaders are now involved in constructive conversations. Due to Russian invasion in Ukraine, there is a  humanitarian crisis which is unfolding day by day. There is a feeling of suffocation all over, leaders are discussing the fate of people and interestingly by them who could have tried to reduce the pressure created few months back. Many times it seems everyone was waiting for something like this to happen.

There is another discussion floating all around questioning the existence of United Nations. Many want to prove it worthiness. There are stories floating around with its working style and outcomes. Whenever it is guns, there is violation of human rights, many times there are friendly fires killing their own people and colleagues. The war zone is just like giving key board and internet to everyone, where one can write anything, likewise, the guns blow with blood in the brains!

Apart from loss of human life there is always a cost associated with war, who will pay the price? The suffering is like two sides of coin, which ever the way you flip it. We can compensate by rehabilitating or giving refuge to one’s country but can’t give back the life they had before any conflict! We cannot give back the son, who lost his life in the battle, nor the father to kid who was waiting for him to return, I wonder who will bear this cost? The scar will keep on aggravating day by day and will remain in their mind for generations.
